Ingredients

1 star snapper about 600g (washed, gutted and scaled), 3 slices of ginger (shredded), 2 spring onions (shredded), 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon Shaoxing wine, 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the fish, slightly cut the surface on both sides.
  2. Add shredded ginger to the fish’s belly and surface, and place it in a pan. 
  3. Steam over high heat for about 8-10 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.
  4. Add spring onions to the fish, heat the oil, and drizzle with sesame oil.
  5. Combine the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar, and drizzle over both sides of the fish, and serve.
