Ingredients

1 red emperor about 600g (washed, gutted and scaled), 1 tablespoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoons corn starch, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1/2 piece lemon, 1 tablespoon spring onions (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the fish, slightly cut the surface on both sides.
  2. Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over the fish, then coat it with corn starch.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice over the fish and sprinkle with spring onions. 
  5. Serve with rice or salad.
