Ingredients
Thread fin 200g, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon fermented black beans (chopped), 1 tablespoon garlic (minced), Ginger 10g (shredded), 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon rice wine, 1 tablespoon spring onions (chopped), A pinch of shredded red bell pepper (for garnish)
Instructions
- Soak for about 30 minutes to remove any saltiness.
- Dry it with kitchen paper and place it on a steaming plate.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the fermented black beans and minced garlic for about 30 seconds until golden brown. Turn off the heat.
- Spread the stir-fried fermented black beans and minced garlic evenly over the fish and sprinkle the shredded ginger.
- Drizzle soy sauce, sesame oil and rice wine.
- Add water and bring it to a boil. Add the fish and steam over high heat for about 8-10 minutes until cooked through and flavorful.
- Remove steamed fish from the pan and pour off excess water from the plate.
- Garnish with spring onions and shredded red pepper, and serve.
